KUALA PILAH: Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir performed Friday prayers at the Masjid DiRaja Tuanku Munawir in Seri Menanti near here on Sept 18.
The state Ruler was accompanied by his sons, Tunku Besar Seri Menanti Tunku Ali Redhauddin and Tunku Panglima Besar Negri Sembilan Tunku Zain Al-'Abidin.
Also in attendance were the Undang of Sungei Ujong Muhammad Faris Johari, the Undang of Rembau Hassan Ab Hamid, State Secretary Datuk Mohd Zafir Ibrahim, and state police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Alzafny Ahmad.
Dressed in a refined, light magenta baju Melayu, the Ruler warmly greeted congregants upon entering the mosque.
Following the prayers, Tuanku Muhriz and his princes distributed donations to local children, continuing a long-standing tradition.
Chants of "Daulat Tuanku" and "arrest the traitors" were also heard as he boarded his official car to leave.
Some of his subjects also put up banners urging the authorities to act against those who had attempted to undermine his position.
Sekretariat Taat Setia dan Sokong DYMM Tuanku Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negri Sembilan ke-11 chief Prof Mohd Aluwi Sari also presented a memorandum to Tuanku Muhriz, pledging the group's unwavering loyalty to the state Ruler.
He urged the authorities to investigate social media allegations targeting the royal institution, the Undang (ruling chiefs), and Negri Sembilan's customary law structures.
"We hope the Dewan Keadilan dan Undang, alongside the authorities and the state government, can provide an explanation based on official records regarding the disputed customary matters.
"The people of Negri Sembilan have a right to know the authentic facts," he added.
Aluwi emphasised that the secretariat's stance was clear, which was to uphold the royal institution, defend the Constitution, preserve Adat Perpatih (customary laws), enforce the rule of law, and maintain peace and harmony.
DCP Alzafny when met later said the police's priority was to maintain public order.
"We have tightened security in every area following recent developments.
"We hope whatever situation there is can be resolved based on the laws and the legal framework of this country," he said, advising the public to continue to remain patient.
