Ex-MD, chairman among 11 nabbed in Tabung Haji case


PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has released a list of 11 individuals arrested in connection with investigations arising from the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on Tabung Haji (TH).

MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman confirmed the arrests at a press conference at the commission's headquarters here on Wednesday (Sept 2).

The 11 individuals detained were:

  • A former TH managing director
  • A director of a Putrajaya Perdana company
  • A former director of Putra Perdana Construction Sdn Bhd
  • A former TH chairman
  • A former director of Putrajaya Perdana Bhd
  • The chief operating officer of Alam Maritim Sdn Bhd
  • A former senior general manager of TH's Hajj Division
  • Two former senior general managers of TH's Corporate, Finance and Services Division
  • A former TH legal adviser
  • A former minister

Earlier, Abd Halim said suspects linked to the investigations would be charged in court on Thursday (Sept 3) and Friday.
