PETALING JAYA: The Penang Hospital was lit up in green as a tribute to a 36-year-old mother of five who died in a road accident on Aug 13.

In a Facebook post, the Penang Health Department said that the woman had registered as an organ donor for some time, and her wishes were fully supported by her family.

"The noble decision she made during her lifetime has now become an invaluable gift of life to others in need.

“May the resilience and generosity of the donor’s family serve as an inspiration to all Malaysians, regardless of race or religion,” it said.

It also encouraged Malaysians to register as organ donors, with pledges now easily made through the MySejahtera application.

"You too can be a hero who brings new light to those waiting in hope," it added.
