Bersatu is a responsible Opposition, says Muhyiddin while debating TH RCI in Parliament

KUALA LUMPUR: Bersatu is a responsible Opposition representative, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as he debated the findings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry on Lembaga Tabung Haji.

“Even though there were criticisms that the Opposition had staged a walkout without participating in the debates, we (Bersatu) are also part of the Opposition,” Muhyiddin (PN-Pagoh) said before beginning his debate on the RCI findings in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday(Aug 11).

“We are a responsible Opposition. The six MPs from Bersatu had participated in the debates on such an important issue,” the former prime minister added.

Earlier, a majority of the Opposition MPs from Wawasan and PAS had staged a walkout as they refused to debate the report in the absence of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar was unable to attend the special sitting on Tuesday (Aug 11) as he continues to recover under medical supervision.
