MELAKA: At least 1,000 Madani recreational parks will be built nationwide by 2030 to provide accessible recreational facilities for local communities.
National Landscape Department director-general Mansor Mohamad said 216 parks had been completed so far, while another 100 are under construction.
“The average construction cost of a Madani recreational park ranges from RM400,000 to RM500,000, depending on the size of the site and the design developed.
“These parks are built within communities and residential areas to ensure that the facilities are easily accessible to residents,” he said at a prize-giving and appreciation ceremony held in conjunction with National Landscape Day in Krubong here yesterday, Bernama reported.
The event was officiated by Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu and attended by state Housing, Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change and Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Rais Yasin.
