PETALING JAYA: The remains of Malaysian Ahmad Shah Ahmad Ros, who was fatally stabbed in South Korea, were laid to rest at the Tasik Puteri Islamic Cemetery in Rawang on Thursday (July 30) at about 10:40pm.
His sister, Ain Sephia Ahmad Ros, 25, confirmed that the burial was completed after funeral prayers were held at Masjid Bandar Tasik Puteri.
Meanwhile, Umno Youth exco member Shah Zanuriman Nuar Paras Khan said Ahmad Shah's remains departed Incheon International Airport at about 11am and arrived at KL International Airport (KLIA) at about 6.40pm on Thursday.
“The remains were then taken to Masjid Bandar Tasik Puteri in Rawang, arriving at about 9pm, where funeral prayers were held before the deceased was laid to rest,” he said when contacted.
Ahmad Shah, 26, was reported to have been fatally stabbed while attempting to break up a group fight in South Korea.
The factory worker died at a hospital in Eumseong, North Chungcheong Province, after suffering a severe stab wound to the abdomen.
He had been living in South Korea since 2019 and went to the scene of the altercation with his wife after a fellow Malaysian called for help.
Following the incident, Eumseong police arrested a Malaysian man in his 40s to assist investigations into murder and several other offences, while several other individuals believed to have been involved were also detained.
