Negri polls: Five-cornered fights in two seats, says EC

SEREMBAN: There will be straight fights in 11 of the 36 constituencies in the Aug 1 Negri Sembilan state polls.

Another 21 seats will see three-cornered fights while there will be four-cornered fights in two constituencies.

According to the Election Commission there will also be five-cornered fights in another two constituencies.

Pakatan Harapan is fielding candidates in all 36 state seats followed by Barisan Nasional (25),  Bersatu (24), Perikatan Nasional (11), Independents (four) and Parti Sosialis, Parti Berjasa, Parti Orang Asli (one each).

Pakatan's Datuk Abd Latif A Tambi, who is contesting the Gemencheh seat, is the oldest candidate. 

Bersatu's M.Leevineshwaraan who is vying for the Sri Tanjung seat is the youngest at 23.
