HONG KONG actress Elaine Ng has pushed back against rumours and claims which surfaced on social media that she had been asked to undergo a paternity test, Oriental Daily reported.
Her daughter, 27-year-old Etta Ng, was born out of wedlock following Elaine’s relationship with martial arts superstar Jackie Chan.
During her livestream several days ago, Elaine said that since she and Chan had parted ways, she decided to raise the child without his involvement.
Elaine said people should respect the decisions made by individuals.
“These rumours are really ridiculous,” she said, adding that what she found most intolerable were the online smears questioning her moral character, suggesting she had slept with countless men.
“I think that is truly excessive. It has gone overboard,” the 53-year-old former Miss Asia said.
> Sin Chew Daily reported that a 16-year-old male student from Urad Front Banner in China’s Inner Mongolia province was stabbed to death in May after allegedly causing a ruckus when he was denied entry into a brothel.
The allegations surfaced after the victim’s mother claimed that her son was merely passing by.
The report said locals who were interviewed said the victim had attempted to solicit a sex worker but was refused as he was underaged.
They said a dispute ensued and resulted in the victim being stabbed to death by the man guarding the premises.
However, the mother said her son and his classmates had won a relay race in a track and field meet and planned to spend the night at a classmate’s house near the venue.
