Investigation into Jho Low is active, says MACC chief

PUTRAJAYA: Investigations into fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho, better known as Jho Low, remain active and have never been closed, says Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner dismissed speculation that the commission had halted its probe into the alleged mastermind behind the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.

"The investigation into Jho Low is still ongoing. "It has never been closed. That is my response," he said when asked about reports claiming the businessman may return to Malaysia to negotiate with the government.
