Man dies after heart attack causes car to skid and roll over in Kota Tinggi


KOTA TINGGI: A local man died on the spot after the car he was driving skidded at KM5.1 Jalan Kota Tinggi-Kluang near a hotel here.

Kota Tinggi police chief Supt Yusof Othman said the incident took place on Friday (June 26) at 2.45am.

"The driver suffered from a heart attack which led him to lose control of the car," he said in a statement, adding there was a female passenger in the car.

Supt Yusof said the body of the victim, 47, has been sent to Kota Tinggi Hospital for post-mortem.

A Malaysian woman, 46, was hospitalised for treatment.

"The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said.
