Bersatu to hold rival Perikatan meeting tonight

PETALING JAYA: Bersatu is expected to hold a rival Perikatan Nasional meeting on Friday (June 19) night.

A poster with an AI-generated photo of Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been making rounds on social media.

According to the poster, Perikatan Supreme Council leaders will be having a meeting at 8pm at the Bersatu headquarters here on Friday.

A statement from Bersatu's youth wing, Armada, urged supporters to arrive at 7pm and to wear Perikatan's blue uniform.

It was previously reported that Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin have been dropped from their posts in Perikatan.

In a statement on Wednesday (June 17), Perikatan chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said that Azmin would be dropped as deputy secretary-general.

He said that Radzi would be replaced as election director by PAS' Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor, who is also the Kedah Mentri Besar.
