Political partners should show respect to each other, Zahid tells DAP Youth chief

KUALA LUMPUR: Partners within political alliances should show respect to each other and be mindful of what they say, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The Umno president said it was unbecoming of DAP Youth leader Woo Kah Leong to label Umno as "hypocrites" for going solo in the Johor elections.

"They should learn to respect their friends. They should not make reckless statements.

"Political partners must be considerate of one another's feelings and more importantly, watch their words and not say what's in their hearts," he said after officiating the Fourth Edition South-East Asian Scholars Conference 2026 here on Saturday (June 13).
