King, Anwar breakfast in KL before meeting


KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, received an audience from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim over breakfast at a restaurant in the capital.

His Majesty and Anwar were seen chatting while enjoying their meal, which included local kuih.

Their presence at the eatery in Jalan Raja Chulan here on Sunday (May 31) also delighted patrons who greeted and shook their hands.

After breakfast, Sultan Ibrahim granted an audience Anwar at Istana Bukit Tunku where they held a private meeting for about an hour, according to a post on His Majesty’s official Facebook page.
