Five men remanded over Port Klang fight

KLANG: Five local men have been arrested over a fight near a flat in Port Klang.

South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Lim Jit Huey said police detected a video of the fight on social media that showed the incident near Flat Perantau.

He said a police report over the incident was also lodged on Saturday (May 30).

“Acting on information received, police arrested five local men, aged between 18 and 47, who are suspected of being involved in the incident,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

ACP Lim said all five suspects have been remanded for four days until Wednesday.

The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting with weapons.

“The police advise the public not to speculate or spread unverified information on social media, as this may cause public concern and interfere with investigations,” he said.
