Man nabbed over alleged abduction, sodomy


SHAH ALAM: Police have arrested a man believed to be involved in the abduction, abuse and ­sodomy of a 14-year-old boy at an apartment in Bukit Kemuning.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the ­suspect was arrested on Saturday.

“The suspect is still under custody. If investigations are not ­completed within the remand period, we will apply for an extension,” he said during a press conference yesterday.

Comm Shazeli said the suspect, who works as a debt collector, was arrested at a rented house in Kuala Lumpur.

It was earlier reported that a teenage boy claimed he had been confined, abused and sodomised by a man at an apartment in Bukit Kemuning on May 12.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Ramsay Embol said the suspect had previous records involving rape, robbery and confining a woman, and was convicted in 2008.
