SHAH ALAM: Police have arrested a man believed to be involved in the abduction, abuse and sodomy of a 14-year-old boy at an apartment in Bukit Kemuning.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the suspect was arrested on Saturday.
“The suspect is still under custody. If investigations are not completed within the remand period, we will apply for an extension,” he said during a press conference yesterday.
Comm Shazeli said the suspect, who works as a debt collector, was arrested at a rented house in Kuala Lumpur.
It was earlier reported that a teenage boy claimed he had been confined, abused and sodomised by a man at an apartment in Bukit Kemuning on May 12.
Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Ramsay Embol said the suspect had previous records involving rape, robbery and confining a woman, and was convicted in 2008.
