New Putrajaya MACC director pledges to keep up 'momentum of excellence'

PETALING JAYA: The Putrajaya Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office aims to sustain its momentum of excellence under new leadership by strengthening integrity and professionalism in carrying out its duties.

Newly-appointed Putrajaya MACC director Mohd Shahril Che Saad said he was committed to continuing the organisation’s achievements through teamwork and the support of all personnel.

He said the trust placed in him by the MACC's top management to lead the Putrajaya office would be carried out with full responsibility to ensure all tasks are performed professionally and with integrity.

"I deeply appreciate the trust given to me to lead MACC Putrajaya and hope all staff members will continue to give their full support in ensuring the organisation’s excellence is maintained," he said at the handover ceremony at MACC headquarters in Putrajaya on Friday (May 15).

The ceremony was witnessed by MACC senior investigations director Datuk Mohd Hafaz Nazar.

Shahril was appointed Putrajaya MACC director effective May 8, replacing Azizul Ahmad Sarkawi, who is now Perak MACC director.

Azizul expressed hope that the culture of teamwork, which has been the organisation’s main strength, would continue to be preserved and strengthened under the new leadership.

He also called on all Putrajaya MACC personnel to continue giving their full commitment and cooperation to Shahril in advancing the commission’s agenda.
