Honour mothers’ unwavering strength and devotion, says Dr Wee in Mother’s Day wishes

PETALING JAYA: Mother’s Day serves as a reminder to appreciate the unwavering love, sacrifices and strength of mothers, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Ayer Hitam MP added that the occasion is not the only day dedicated to celebrating mothers, but rather a symbolic reminder to express gratitude for their lifelong dedication to their children.

“Mother’s Day is not the only day we celebrate the women who have loved us, nurtured us, and cared for us even before we were born.

“Rather, it is a special reminder for us to express our gratitude and appreciation for the countless sacrifices they make every single day to shape us into who we are today,” he said in a Facebook post here on Sunday (May 10).

He added that while no single day could fully repay a mother’s love, Mother’s Day encourages people to cherish and honour their patience, devotion and strength.

“While no single day could ever fully repay a mother’s love, today reminds us to cherish and honour the unwavering strength, patience, and devotion that mothers carry throughout our lives,” he said.

Dr Wee also expressed appreciation for his own mother and his wife, thanking them for their support and love within the family.

“To my dearest mother and my beloved wife, thank you both for your unconditional support, love, and warmth in our family,” he said.

He extended his Mother’s Day greetings to all mothers, grandmothers, single mothers and mother figures, as well as those who carry the spirit of motherhood in their lives.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, grandmothers, single mothers, mother figures, and those carrying the love of a mother in their hearts.

“May you feel as loved as you have made others feel every single day,” he said.
