Masked trio botch pawn shop robbery in Puchong Prima


SUBANG JAYA: The police are seeking three masked men armed with machetes who recently attempted to rob a pawn shop in Puchong Prima.

Subang Jaya OCPD Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, in a statement on Thursday (May 7), said that the police had received a report of the incident on May 4.

“During the incident, three male suspects wearing masks and armed with machete-like weapons, tried to enter the shop counter but were unsuccessful.

“The suspects then fled before the manager of the premises activated the security alarm,” he said in a statement on Thursday (May 7).

He said that members of the public with information about the incident are asked to come forward and report it to the Subang Jaya District Control Centre at 03-78627222 to assist in the investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 393 of the Penal Code for attempted robbery.
