MACC finishes recording Rafizi Ramli’s statement over probe into RM1.1bil investment deal

PUTRAJAYA: Graft busters have completed recording the statement of Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli in connection with an investigation into alleged abuse of power and misappropriation involving a RM1.1bil strategic semiconductor investment deal.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) senior investigations director Datuk Mohd Hafaz Nazar said Thursday (May 7) marked the fourth and final day of the statement-recording session involving the former Economy Minister.

“The session today, which started at 10am, concluded at 4.30pm,” he said.

Mohd Hafaz said the investigation focuses on the strategic collaboration agreement in the semiconductor industry between the Economy Ministry and the United Kingdom-based company Arm Holdings.
