King grants audience to Chief Secretary, Ukas DG

JOHOR BARU: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, granted an audience to Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar at Istana Pasir Pelangi here.

Also present yesterday was Public-Private Partnership Unit (Ukas) director-general Datuk Muhammad Razman Abu Samah.

Several photographs of the audience session were shared in a post on His Majesty’s official Facebook page, Bernama reported.

Shamsul Azri, in a Facebook post, expressed his deepest appreciation for the audience granted by Sultan Ibrahim.

He said he had presented the latest developments on federal development projects in Johor for His Majesty’s attention.

“I humbly acknowledge His Majesty’s guidance, which reflects concern for the timely implementation of projects that are important to the people, particularly in strengthening economic development in both the nation and Johor,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sultan Ibrahim and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, welcomed their seventh grandchild on Sunday.

In a Facebook post accompanied by an official announcement from the Johor Royal Council, it was confirmed that Che’ Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor, the wife of Johor Regent Tunku Mahkota Ismail, had safely delivered the couple’s fifth child, a daughter.

Both mother and child were reported to be in good health, Bernama reported.

The royal announcement was made by Johor Council of Royal Court president Datuk Dr Abdul Rahim Ramli.

The Johor Council of Royal Court also offered prayers for the continued good health, joy and blessings of the entire Johor royal family.

Che’ Puan Mahkota Khaleeda and Tunku Mahkota Ismail were married at Istana Bukit Serene on Oct 24, 2014.
