ONE International Group recently announced the acquisition of the Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB), one of Asean’s established trade exhibitions for the food and beverage (F&B) industry.

This marks an exciting new chapter for the exhibition, as it celebrates its 25th anniversary while strengthening efforts to expand market access and opportunities for Malaysian food and beverage companies under the group’s stewardship.

“Over the past 25 years, MIFB has been an important meeting point for the food and beverage trade. Under One International Group, we see an opportunity to broaden its role further, particularly in giving Malaysian F&B companies stronger visibility and access to regional buyers,” said the group’s chief executive officer Roger Lim.

In the coming editions, the focus will be on positioning the event as a practical business-to-business (B2B) platform where local manufacturers and brands can engage directly with distributors, importers, retailers and hospitality buyers from across the region and beyond.

According to the statement, MIFB is anchored by a well-established network and a strong Asia-Pacific database, built over years of attracting quality exhibitors and trade buyers. This foundation will be further strengthened by One International Group’s extensive regional reach and connections built since 2012.

Together, these strengths are expected to foster deeper F&B industry linkages and further position MIFB as a credible and influential B2B platform within the region.

The move also reinforces the group’s position in Malaysia’s B2B exhibition sector, with its portfolio spanning agriculture, construction and F&B through events such as Agri Malaysia and MBAM OneBuild.

Collectively, these exhibitions will attract more than 35,000 trade visitors and over 1,500 exhibiting companies annually.

“With agriculture, construction and now food and beverage under our portfolio, we are building a focused platform of industry trade exhibitions that connect businesses with markets across the region,” Lim added.

“Leveraging our experience as a professional B2B exhibition organiser, we are committed to bringing Malaysian brands onto the international stage, driving the growth of Malaysia’s F&B exports, while also bringing in global brands, technologies and solutions to strengthen and benefit the local industry.”

In August 2025, One International Group received a strategic investment from Catcha Digital Bhd, marking a new phase driven by digitalisation, technology and scalable growth.

With a strengthened business portfolio, solid capital structure and professional management, One International Group remains committed to advancing Malaysia’s exhibition industry and helping businesses connect with global markets, the statement said.
