Road closure in Maran for Panguni Uthiram festival


KUANTAN: The main road in front of the Sri Maranthandavar Temple in Sungai Jerik, Maran, as well as the surrounding areas, will be temporarily closed to facilitate the Panguni Uthiram festival.

The Maran District Police Headquarters announced via Facebook that the closure will take effect from 4pm on March 30 until 2pm on April 1.

Road users are advised to plan their journeys and use alternative routes to avoid congestion in the area.

Motorists can still access the main road via Jalan Simpang Bangas, continuing to Jalan Utama and Bandar Jengka.

The police have urged the public’s cooperation to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety throughout the annual celebration.
