PUTRAJAYA: The government has announced a 50% toll discount to help ease the cost of travelling home for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil said the discount will begin at 12.01am on March 18 and end at 11.59pm on March 19.
“This initiative aims to reduce travel costs for the public returning to their hometowns,” he said during a weekly press conference here on Tuesday (March 17).
He added that the initiative will involve an expenditure of RM21.03 million to compensate toll concession companies.
