Seri Kembangan hill fire reignites, Bomba monitoring situation


PETALING JAYA: The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department is monitoring a forested area near Taman Puncak Jalil following reports that a fire had reignited at the location on Thursday (March 12).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar confirmed the report, saying firefighters had been dispatched to the scene.

“We have responded and our fire engines, along with personnel, are on the way to the location,” he said when contacted.

However, further details on the current status of the fire have not yet been confirmed.

It was reported that the blaze had been fully extinguished at 3.48am on Thursday.

The fire, which began on Wednesday (March 11) afternoon, involved forested hillside areas covering about 15ha.
