JPA to review Azam Baki’s shareholding issue


PUTRAJAYA: The Public Service Department (JPA) disciplinary board will meet soon to discuss the report by the special committee on the shareholding issue involving Tan Sri Azam Baki, says Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

The Chief Secretary to the Government said the matter is also expected to be raised at the Cabinet meeting today.

Shamsul Azri said both he and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had received the report from the committee chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar.

“I have forwarded the report to the JPA, and we will convene a disciplinary board meeting soon,” he told reporters at at event here, Bernama reported.

The government had set up a special committee to investigate allegations concerning the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Com­mission chief commissioner.

Members of the special committee also include Public Service director-general Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Wan Abdul Aziz and Treasury secretary-general Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican.
