Actress, husband remanded over alleged fraud, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have remanded a female actress and her husband over an alleged fraud case involving the sale of cows.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Sazalee Adam said that the actress has been remanded for three days, until March 11, while the husband has been remanded until Monday (March 9).

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus, in a previous message to the media, confirmed that their arrests were linked to the investment scheme involving the sale of cattle.

Both have previously been investigated for fraud cases in Negri Sembilan.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Azahar Abdul Rahim previously said that a police report was filed by a 56-year-old male businessman, who claimed he was cheated in a deal involving the sale of gifted land lots in Selangor, resulting in losses of RM1.5mil.

Investigations into the report then led to their arrests on March 4, in Kampung Sungai Serai in Hulu Langat.
