Female trainee doctor found dead in Kuala Krai dorm


KOTA BARU: A female trainee doctor was found dead in a dormitory in Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kuala Krai on Friday (March 7).

Kuala Krai OCPD Supt Mazlan Mamat said they received word about the death at about 9.55am before a police team was dispatched to investigate.

"Investigations in the location found that the victim was a female trainee doctor, 29, who was found dead in the bathroom of the dormitory.

"Preliminary investigations at the location found no sign of criminal elements," he said in a statement Saturday (March 8), adding that the body was taken to the hospital's forensics unit for autopsy.

The case is being classified as a sudden death, he said, and urged those with information about the incident to contact the Kuala Krai police station at 09-966 6222. - Bernama
