Repairs to take three days following cable theft on MRT Putrajaya line, says Rapid Rail


PETALING JAYA: Rapid Rail says repairs are underway after power cables were stolen near the Damansara Damai MRT station.

"Rapid Rail wishes to inform that repair works on the MRT Putrajaya Line power supply are actively underway following the theft of cables near Damansara Damai station detected on Tuesday (March 3) morning.

The incident caused service disruptions and requires comprehensive repairs to ensure the system operates safely and stably.

Train services are expected to be restored in stages within three days.

"Alternative train services and free shuttle buses will be provided to assist passengers in continuing their journeys. Passengers are also advised to use alternative rail routes," it said.

Rapid Rail urged all users to follow instructions given by station staff to ensure smooth pedestrian traffic and safety.
