Cops still probing death of baby boy under babysitter's care

PETALING JAYA: The death of a six-month-old baby boy while under the care of a babysitter in Datuk Keramat here is still under investigation.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus said the incident occurred at about 3.40pm on Nov 26, 2025, when the victim’s father received a call from the babysitter informing him that the infant was unconscious while sleeping.

He said the baby was rushed to hospital for further treatment but was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.

“The case is still under investigation,” he said in a statement today.

Earlier, media reports said the victim’s mother, Noor Ainy Mohd Rusly, 33, had demanded justice over her baby’s death while under the care of a babysitter in Datuk Keramat late last year.

She said she and her husband have yet to be informed of the actual cause of their baby’s death.

The babysitter, said to be in her 40s, is believed to no longer be staying at the house and has since moved to Sarawak.
