Enhanced Bill to better safeguard owners’ rights


PUTRAJAYA: The Housing and Local Government Ministry will continue its efforts to enhance the Urban Renewal Bill.

Nga Kor Ming said his ministry will proceed with engagement sessions involving local residents, academics, elected representatives and industry experts to ensure that all views are taken into account, following the Cabinet’s decision to withdraw the Urban Renewal Bill and enhance it before re-tabling it at a later date.
