Heed the King's decrees, says Anwar


SERDANG: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim's decrees delivered during the opening of Parliament must be heeded and implemented decisively.

When met by the media after attending the Asean-Malaysia 2025 Chairmanship appreciation ceremony on Monday (Jan 19), Anwar said: "Titah bagus. Laksana dengan tegas (The decree is good. Enforce it firmly), when asked to comment on the King's royal address.

Earlier, in his address at the opening of the First Meeting of the Fifth Session of the 15th Parliament, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia decreed that those who enable corruption must be tracked down and expressed disappointment over recent graft cases involving the Armed Forces.

Sultan Ibrahim also decreed that Bahasa Malaysia must be given priority.
