Rompin cops seek public help to locate woman missing since August

KUANTAN: Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a woman reported missing since Aug 13 last year.

Rompin Police chief Supt Sharif Shai Sharif Mondoi said the police received a report from her son at 9.47am on Aug 14, 2025, regarding the disappearance of 45-year-old Norazmawati Mohd Darwi, who works as a babysitter.

He said the wife of a fisherman was last seen wearing a baju kurung and a headscarf along Jalan Selancar, Kampung Tanjung Gemok, Rompin.

"The fair-skinned woman has not contacted her family since her disappearance. Police have also issued alerts to help trace her.

"Those with information on the woman’s whereabouts are urged to contact the nearest police station or the Rompin Police headquarters control centre at 09-4145999,” he said when contacted on Sunday. — Bernama
