Girl, 14, goes missing with teen boyfriend in Shah Alam


PETALING JAYA: A 14-year-old girl is believed to have gone missing with her 17-year-old boyfriend, after leaving her home in Section 33, Shah Alam, on Monday (Jan 5).

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Ramsay Embol said the two teenagers are believed to have left on a motorcycle and have been unreachable since.

The boy has been identified as Shaswin Perialagan, 17, while the girl is Jesitha Arul, 14.

Checks revealed that the pair were last seen at Block 40, Taman Alam Megah, at about 10.30am, riding a motorcycle and carrying backpacks, he said.

“Initial investigations found that the girl is believed to have left home with her boyfriend without bringing a mobile phone, while the boy had his mobile phone with him but could not be contacted,” he said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 8).

Asst Comm Ramsay said the boy works in Alam Megah, while the girl is a Form Two student.

He added that the families of both teenagers said there were no disagreements between them prior to the incident.

Police opened a missing persons investigation paper on Jan 6.

Those with information are urged to contact investigating officer Insp Mohamad Sabri Abd Rani at 017-289 2628 to assist in the investigation.
