Today is last day for 70% discount on police traffic summonses

PETALING JAYA: Motorists have until today to take advantage of a 70% discount on police traffic summonses, as the offer ends on Dec 30.

In a Facebook post, Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department urged the public to seize the opportunity to settle outstanding summonses in a safe, fast and convenient manner.

“The last day for the 70% discount on police traffic summonses is today (Dec 30). Do not miss this golden opportunity to clear your summonses,” it said.

Previously, on Dec 22, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail announced that the discount, which ran from Nov 1 to Dec 30, was offered as a final measure ahead of the implementation of a new traffic summons payment system starting in 2026.

He said outstanding unpaid traffic summonses are estimated at RM6.6bil.
