KTMB restores Sungkai-Slim River ETS service following tree fall

KUALA LUMPUR: Electric Train Service (ETS) operations along the Sungkai-Slim River route have now been restored, following the clearance of a tree that had fallen at KM268.795.

In a statement on Thursday (Dec 25), Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) announced that repairs to the line's electrification system were completed at 10.05am the same day, enabling the service between Sungkai and Slim River to resume.

"Passengers should, however, expect temporary delays on some ETS routes as schedules and train movements are readjusted. Recovery actions are ongoing to ensure services return to full, stable, and scheduled operations," the statement added.

KTMB also thanked passengers for their patience and cooperation throughout the disruption and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
