JOHOR BARU: Three passengers, including two senior citizens, were hurt after a bus crashed into a parked lorry here.

Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the incident occurred at KM3.5 of Jalan Skudai-Pantai Lido, heading towards the city centre, at about 3.30pm on Sunday (Dec 21).

"A 64-year-old man was driving the bus with passengers from Skudai towards the city centre when he failed to notice a lorry parked by the roadside and crashed into the right side of the vehicle's rear.

He added that three bus passengers aged 45, 63 and 73 sustained minor injuries, while the bus driver was unharmed.

The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
