Body found in bag in vacant house in Pedas


SEREMBAN: Police say a body has been found in a bag left at an unoccupied house in Kampung Batu 4, Pedas, near here.

Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the gender and identity of the deceased have yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.

"The body has been sent to Rembau Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death," he said.

Earlier, the daughter of the house owner, who declined to be identified, said her aunt called her at 4am on Thursday (Dec 18) to tell her about the indcident.

The woman said the house had been vacant for about two years, adding that she last sent there on Dec 4.

"My aunt told me the that police requested permission to inspect the house. I arrived at around 9am. Police were already on scene and I was not allowed to enter.

"I only visit the house to check if the grass is overgrown and planned to gather my siblings to clean the house but that had to be postponed due to frequent rain," she said. – Bernama
