Police nab three, seize drugs worth RM10.4mil

SHAH ALAM: Police have arrested two local women and a foreign man suspected of packaging drugs worth RM10.4mil to sell in Klang Valley, during a raid in Kajang, Selangor.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the Selangor Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) revealed that the operation was being carried out in a three-storey terrace house.

“The residential premises were being used as a storage and packaging centre for various types of drugs. Seized items include powdered and ecstasy pills, ketamine, syabu, yaba pills, cannabis buds, and liquid ecstasy,” he told a press conference here on Monday (Dec 15).

Comm Shazeli said all three suspects, aged between 40 and 45, were screened and tested negative for drugs. The two local women have previous records related to drug offences, while the foreign male suspect has no prior record.

He added that all three have been remanded for seven days under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
