JB hit with flash floods after heavy downpour


JOHOR BARU: A heavy downpour which started around 3.30pm on Friday (Dec 12), resulted in flash floods in various parts of Johor Baru.

The rain also created havoc, including the main stage, which was put up for the launch of a major event on Friday night at Dataran Bandaraya, collapsed.

The video of the collapsed stage at 4pm was uploaded and made rounds on social media.

Traffic standstill at Danga Bay, Jalan Skudai heading to the city centre after a tree was uprooted, as shared in several social media pages.

Other areas hit by the flash flood include Taman Nong Chik and Jalan Kolam Ayer.
