No information yet on possible Cabinet reshuffle, says Ramanan

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan says he has not been informed about any possible Cabinet reshuffle.

Ramanan, who has been rumoured as a potential candidate in the reshuffle, said he has not received any communication from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim regarding such plans.

"I have not been told or informed of anything about a possible reshuffle. But for now, I think it's best to let the Prime Minister make the announcement at the appropriate time or whenever he sees fit," Ramanan told reporters after the launch of a smartboard initiative for SJK(T) here on Tuesday (Dec 9).

The PKR vice-president is among the notable names being mentioned ahead of a potential Cabinet reshuffle to fill existing vacancies.

However, Anwar has indicated that only current vacancies are likely to be filled and a major reshuffle is not expected at this time.
