Hajiji: Sabah to get GLC shake-up

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government will undertake a major revamp of government-linked companies (GLCs) involving its chairpersons and board members, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

The Chief Minister said the move is driven by administrative needs to strengthen corporate governance and accountability.

He said with new leadership, the revamp will drive the Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0 development goals.

“The goal is to transform GLCs into effective and trustworthy economic engines through competent management to generate greater value for the people and the state.

“We acknowledge the contributions of past leadership, but a revamp is necessary for effective transformation and continuity,” he said in a statement yesterday.
