Hajiji pays last respects to Bung Moktar


KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor paid his last respects to the late Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin during a visit to Idang Residence in Luyang on Friday (Dec 5).

Hajiji said Bung Moktar, as a leader, contributed significantly to Sabah, particularly to the communities he represented.

“As a long-time friend, I am deeply saddened and have been thinking of him often, especially during his recent illness,” he said after offering his condolences to the family.

“On behalf of my family and the state government, I extend my sympathies to the family of the late Bung Moktar. May Allah bless his soul and place him among the righteous,” he added.

Bung Moktar, 66, who was also the Lamag assemblyman, passed away at 1.46am on Friday while receiving treatment at Gleneagles Hospital in Kota Kinabalu.
