Blind woman crawls through jungle for two days after daughter dies in hut

PETALING JAYA: A blind woman crawled through the jungle for two day to seek help after her daughter died at their remote and isolated home in Kampung Tambey, Samarahan in Sarawak.

According to Sin Chew Daily, the woman's daughter, in her 30s, had died suddenly at their home.

The woman stayed with her daughter's body for six days before deciding to seek help.

She crawled through the jungle on all fours for two days before reaching a road around 6am on Friday (Dec 5) and managed to get help.

Police and Civil Defence Force personnel located the hut and found the dead woman's decomposing body inside.

The mother and daughter duo had been living in the jungle with limited access to the outside world and relied on government aid to survive.
