Supt Azrol Anuar appointed Johor Baru North acting OCPD

JOHOR BARU: Johor Baru North deputy OCPD Supt Azrol Anuar Nor has been appointed acting OCPD effective Monday (Dec 1).

He replaces Senior Asst Comm Balveer Singh, who previously served as Johor Baru North OCPD for more than two years.

SAC Balveer has now taken up the position of Northern Brigade Commander of the General Operations Force.

Supt Azrol Anuar, 43, said he has outlined several key focus areas such as reducing the crime rate, easing traffic congestion, and enhancing community safety and well-being.

"In addition, I will increase engagement with schools as part of efforts to address bullying," he told reporters after the rank insignia presentation and handover ceremony at the Johor Baru North district police headquarters on Monday.

Supt Azrol Anuar, who has 22 years' experience in the service, also reminded officers and personnel to cooperate with the new leadership and uphold discipline.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad, who witnessed the handover, congratulated Supt Azrol Anuar in his speech.

"This appointment signifies trust and recognition of your competence, leadership and ability to ensure continuity in the district’s administration and operations.

"I am confident you will maintain the momentum of excellence and continue to uphold readiness, discipline, community relations and the image of the force," he said.
