KLANG: A man was found shot dead in a four-wheel-drive vehicle in Taman Mesra Indah here, says Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Shazeli Kahar.
He said the matter was reported to the South Klang district police headquarters around 8.35pm on Saturday after the MERS 999 emergency hotline alerted authorities to the incident.
“The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
“We are investigating the motive behind the incident,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Comm Shazeli urged witnesses or anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
“We urge the public to contact senior investigating officer Asst Supt Mohd Harman Mohd Haniff at 019-210 0334 or reach out to the South Klang district police operations room at 03-3376 2222.”
Earlier, a video of the man, lying motionless in the vehicle, went viral on social media.
The video also showed police personnel investigating the crime scene.
