Six homes in Sepang village inundated by floodwaters


SEPANG: Two senior citizens were rescued after their home in Kampung Chinchang here was flooded.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the distress call was received at 6.36am on Friday (Nov 28).

"A total of 11 firemen were dispatched to the scene. We managed to rescue a married couple in their 80s.

"Six homes in the area were flooded with four feet of water," he said in a statement today.

On another matter, Ahmad Mukhlis said Kampung Salam in Sepang was also inundated by floodwaters.

"Water had risen about 0.2m.

"We are monitoring the situation closely," he added.
