Bung: Slow starters BN ready to form govt

KOTA KINABALU: Barisan Nasional candidates and the election machinery may have been off to a slow start but they are now at the peak of their preparedness, with just two days to go to polling day.

In fact, Sabah Barisan chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin is confident the coalition can form the state government.

He said that into the 11th day of campaigning, the candidates and machinery were at maximum strengths.

Bung said political stability was the basis of sustainable development, as people were tired of inconsistent and unstable governments.

“As the Bahasa Malaysia saying goes ‘biar lambat asalkan selamat’,” he said, referring to an idiom which means it is all right to be slow as long as objectives are achieved properly.

Bung said that from their campaign, it was clear that there was a steady increase in confidence and momentum for a Barisan win.
