Ten-metre high slope along Jalan Klang Lama collapses

KUALA LUMPUR: The prolonged downpour has caused another slope to collapse, this time along Lorong Jugra Dalam here, about four kilometres from the first landslide at Taman United, Jalan Klang Lama.

Checks indicated that a 10-metre high slope next to Block D Sri Lempah Flats collapsed at around 4pm on Monday (Nov 24), damaging a parked car.

Firefighters from the Sri Petaling Fire and Rescue Station are on scene monitoring the situation.

However, the Fire and Rescue Department has yet to issue an official statement on the incident as of the time of writing.

Earlier today, residents from about 104 units from two apartment blocks in Taman United, Seputeh, were ordered to evacuate following the first landslide. – Bernama
