KUALA SELANGOR: Prior police intelligence stopped a drug mule’s attempt to traffic drugs stuffed inside his underwear.
Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) director Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said that the bust was made at KL International Airport 2 (KLIA 2) on Nov 20 after receiving word from their Taiwanese counterparts regarding the drug transporter.
“The man was brought in, and a body inspection led to the discovery of around 400g of suspected heroin and 7g of meth.
“This arrest led to follow-up action where a raid was conducted at an apartment in Bukit Jalil, where four more suspects, including three foreigners, were arrested.
“In total, the drugs seized were worth RM38,000,” he said in a press conference at the Kuala Selangor police headquarters on Monday (Nov 24).
He added that two of the arrested suspects were wanted by the Taiwan police as well.
“The first, third and fifth suspects were working for the second suspect, who is a coordinator for the drug syndicate,” he said.
All suspects also tested positive for meth and amphetamine.
The suspects have been remanded until Nov 26 and Nov 27, respectively.
