JOHOR BARU: BRDB Developments Sdn Bhd (BRDB) and R.E.A.L Schools Johor Baru campus (RSJB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise a strategic partnership aimed at fostering community development and enhancing educational opportunities for families in Johor.

The signing ceremony, held at BRDB’s Johor Corporate Office, was attended by BRDB operations general manager Gan Tong Hee and R.E.A.L Schools Johor Baru campus principal Dr Chandra Veerappan.

The collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term relationship between two organisations that share a vision for nurturing well-rounded, thriving communities.

“This collaboration is really about bringing together two organisations that care deeply about people and community,” said Chandra.

“BRDB is known for crafting timeless developments and community-friendly townships and RSJB has always focused on providing quality, future-focused education.

“By coming together, we’re creating an environment where families don’t only live, but truly thrive. It’s about making Johor a place where education, lifestyle and community truly connect.”

BRDB group chief executive officer Christopher Manivannan said, “We were inspired by a shared belief that great communities are built when people have access to both a nurturing home and education.

“BRDB and RSJB share similar values about shaping the next generation and creating meaningful impact. This partnership is a natural alignment for both organisations as we work together to build spaces that enrich and elevate family life.”

He added: “Through this collaboration, both parties aim to develop initiatives designed to bring families and communities closer together, such as family learning programmes, community engagement activities, events and more.

“The partnership will also explore opportunities for educational collaborations that align with both organisations’ missions to provide holistic, future-ready experiences for families.”

Chandra added: “We see this as just the beginning. The goal is to build a vibrant, future-ready community — one where education extends beyond the classroom and where families feel proud to belong.”

The signing of the MoU reinforces a shared commitment between BRDB and RSJB to shape a future where education and lifestyle go hand in hand, enriching family life across Johor and beyond.
